John Borchers
General Partner, Crescendo Ventures
John Borchers joined Crescendo Ventures in 1997 and has played a leading role in developing the firm's international presence, having spent nearly three years working in Crescendo's London office. John is now based in Palo Alto where he focuses on investment opportunities in the enterprise infrastructure market. Prior to joining Crescendo Ventures, John worked in the data warehousing and predictive analytics fields where he held various operational roles including a two-year posting to Sydney, Australia, where he opened the first Asia-Pacific office for a U.S.-based data warehousing firm. John received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. In addition to CREDANT, John has been involved with a number of Crescendo portfolio companies in both Europe and the U.S. including BDNA Corporation, NetCentrex, Riodata, SealedMedia, StoneFly Networks and Transitive Corporation. |

Jim Hammock
Chairman, itzbig
Jim Hammock is currently the Chairman at itzbig. He was formerly Chairman and CEO of Hire.com in addition to serving as CEO of five startups: Silicon Design Labs, Silicon Compiler Systems, Unify, Calico Technology and Coronet. He was previously President of the IC Division of Mentor Graphics and Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at Auto-trol Technology. Past consulting roles include Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers. Hammock was the Founding Chairman of the Electronic Design Association. During his career, he has managed ten mergers and acquisitions, gaining considerable experience in operations and strategic planning. Hammock began his career with 16 years in sales and marketing at IBM.

Jan Lindelow
Chairman & CEO, IBM/Tivoli Systems, retired
Jan Lindelow is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IBM/Tivoli Systems Inc. Prior to joining Tivoli, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Symbol Technologies, held senior executive positions with Asea Brown Boveri, and served as President of Worldwide Sales and Services at Unisys/Sperry Computer Systems.
Lindelow received a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He lives in Austin, Texas, and serves on the board of directors of Active Power, Inc. and Hire.com, Inc., two Austin-based start-up companies, and the board of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.

Chris Pacitti
General Partner, Austin Ventures
Chris Pacitti joined Austin Ventures in October 1999 and focuses on the firm’s Software & Services investment area. Chris joined Austin Ventures from TL Ventures where he was a Vice President. Previously, Chris was a Co-founder and COO of a technology start-up company that pioneered several industrial applications for a novel oxidizing chemistry. He received his BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University

David Reed
Senior Vice Chair, Ernst & Young, retired
David Reed is President of Causeway Capital Management LLC, which is the Managing Partner of his family investment partnership. He also is the co-founder and a principal shareholder of ANSRSource, Inc., which provides captive incubation services in India for Fortune companies. He retired as Senior Vice Chair for Ernst & Young LLP in 2000, where he held several senior US and global operating, administrative and marketing roles in his 26-year tenure with the firm, including eleven years on its US and Global Management Committees. He was instrumental in founding Ernst & Young’s venture capital fund in 1998 where he gained considerable insight into software and internet start-up technologies.
In addition to his board role at CREDANT TECHNOLOGIES, he currently serves on the public boards of Lone Star Technologies (oil country tubular goods manufacturer), Drew Industries (RV and manufactured housing component manufacturing), and Penson Worldwide (independent clearing firm for international broker dealers). Further, he provides consulting and strategic advisory roles for Red Rock Ventures III (Silicon Valley venture capital fund).

Pravin A. Vazirani
Managing Director, Menlo Ventures
Pravin joined Menlo Ventures in 2001. He began his career at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he designed digital receivers for satellite communications. Later he worked as an engineer for Pacific Communication Sciences, Inc. and as a product manager for ADC Telecommunications in their Wireless Systems Group. Most recently, he evaluated investment opportunities for @Ventures, the venture capital subsidiary of CMGI. At Menlo, Pravin has been involved with the firm's investments in CREDANT Technologies, NewScale, and Open Harbor.
Pravin is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering) and the Harvard University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.)
