Record-Setting Sales Underscore Growing Demand for Mobile Security

DALLAS – April 5, 2005 – CREDANT Technologies, creators of the patented CREDANT Mobile Guardian security solution, demonstrate momentum as the market leader in mobile security by announcing today that cumulative product licenses exceeded 700,000 during the first quarter of 2005. The announcement reflects the increase in demand for mobile security solutions that enable business processes, mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

CREDANT customers include a top mortgage banking and financial services company that is successfully deploying 120,000 seats of CREDANT Mobile Guardian, a Fortune 25 insurance company with 60,000 deployed seats and a worldwide Internet networking leader that recently added 20,000 deployed seats.

CREDANT realized an 800 percent increase in new customers during Q1 2005 compared to Q1 2004 while total bookings increased 1357%. Sales of CREDANT Mobile Guardian Enterprise Edition, the company’s flagship product, increased by more than 1,500 percent during the same period. CREDANT’s customer momentum includes both Fortune and Global 500 customers.

More than 30 percent of CREDANT’s new customers in Q1 2005 are Fortune 500 customers – half of which are Fortune 50 customers. New Fortune 500 clients include customers in IT services, computer hardware manufacturing and the tobacco industry. In addition, CREDANT achieved a 100% customer renewal rate with additional orders from one of the largest food and beverage companies, an elevator services and manufacturing company, and a government agency.

Notable global customers include two industry-leading chemical companies and an energy company. One global financial services firm uses CREDANT Mobile Guardian to enforce consistent security for more than 43,000 workstations and handheld mobile devices.

The impressive first quarter results also parallel the company’s successful launch of CREDANT Mobile Guardian for Windows. 70,000 licenses of the industry's first Policy-Based Intelligent Encryption ^TM solution for notebook and desktop computers were sold within 60 days of introduction.
