London - 16th April 2008 - CREDANT Technologies, the market leader in endpoint data protection solutions has announced today that after rigorous testing, they have been awarded the Government quality CESG Claims Tested Mark (CCTM), (formerly the CSIA Claims Tested Mark) which is awarded by CESG, the National Technical Authority. CREDANT have been awarded the CCTM for their CREDANT Mobile Guardian Enterprise Edition Version 5.2.1. The scheme provides a government quality mark for the public and private sectors based on accredited independent testing, to prove that the security functions of the product does what it says "on the box".
Peter Mitteregger - Vice President EMEA for CREDANT Technologies said "This award is tremendously important to CREDANT as it provides the seal of approval we need in order to sell to many of the government departments. Already we have found that just having this Mark of Assurance is beginning to open doors for us, which is very exciting. We are also coming close to finalising our Common Criteria certification process, which coupled with the CCT Mark Award will provide all public and private sector clients with the assurance that CREDANT Mobile Guardian has had the most intensive scrutiny and testing, thus providing one of the world's most robust and sound security solutions for all mobile data."
Mitteregger continued that the CCTM is proving to be more and more fundamental for companies such as CREDANT to have if we are going to sell into Government.
