Credant Releases Enterprise Server 7.1.1

Newest Version of Flagship Product Offers Industry's Broadest Range of Integrated Encryption Solutions

ADDISON, Texas — April 27, 2011 — Credant Technologies, the trusted experts in data protection, today announced availability of Credant Enterprise Server 7.1.1. The most recent product upgrade includes new features and functionality that reduce the risk of data breaches while providing IT managers and security teams with integrated, best-in-class management and reporting capabilities.

Today's enterprise organizations face a unique set of problems. Businesses with increasingly mobile workforces must manage data security across laptops, desktops, smart phones and removable media (personal or company issued). Companies adopting private and public cloud infrastructures are facing new security concerns while regulated industries must prove compliance faster than ever or face costly fines and continued audits.

With a new, cleaner user interface and enhanced controls, Credant Enterprise Server 7.1.1 helps companies address many challenges with features that include:

  • Management for Microsoft BitLocker. Companies can now manage BitLocker using the same integrated console as other encryption technologies. In addition, the manager provides enhanced reporting, securely escrows recovery keys, helps meet FIPS compliance requirements, and initializes and manages the Trusted Platform Module.
  • Templates for pre-defined best-practices and reporting. Businesses can now more readily achieve compliance goals while generating required reporting for executives and regulators. In addition to pre-defined templates offering automatic protection for system, fixed and external drives; 7.1.1 templates are designed to aid organizations in deploying data protection policies that help meet compliance requirements for HIPAA, PCI and state data breach laws.
  • Support for Mac OS X removable media. Organizations supporting Mac and Windows environments now have the ability to provision and encrypt removable media on either system, allowing the free flow of data while enforcing the same level of protection for data across the enterprise.

"The ability to get up and running quickly and to reduce the ongoing workload for IT security teams has become a key driver for organizations defining and enforcing corporate data security policies," said Chris Burchett, CTO and co-founder, Credant Technologies. "Credant Enterprise Server 7.1.1 is the enterprise-wide solution companies need to protect the multitude of locations where data is stored and accessed."
