It is also valuable for rapid deployment to protect corporate or affiliate systems, especially since the product can be easily migrated into a fully managed CMG Enterprise Edition environment at any time.

Flexible Options for Different Security Needs

There are several options for CMG StandAlone Edition. One option is designed to be installed only on computers with the Intel® Centrino® Pro and Intel® vPro™ processor technologies. The non-hardware restricted CMG StandAlone Edition, which can also be installed on computers with Intel processors, is available through CREDANT and authorized partners.

CMG StandAlone Edition requires no management infrastructure, so it also offers an option that scales well for small to medium-sized businesses where security is also important, but resources to manage solutions are limited.

Easy, Streamlined Installation

A variety of install options support environments with or without IT administrators. Command line installation is available for remote, silent deployment via software distribution packages or the computer owner can install this Shield via a simple, interactive, local interface. All policy settings are pre-configured to simplify installation and cannot be changed unless the product is migrated into a CMG Enterprise Edition environment.
